This control accepts datetime value as an input and optionally displays it in a literal or a relative date format.
Form Design Actions
Clicking on a control pops up a design actions menu with the following options:
Format
The Format lists the types of date time control.
Date: Only the date is available to select in the runtime.
Time: Only the time is available to select in the runtime.
Date and Time: Both the date and the time is available to select in the runtime.
Design
Is Literal?
If the datetime needs to be displayed as literal instead of in relative format (like a datetime instead of saying two days ago), this option must be checked. If the default configuration for DateTime format is specified in the application file, it overrides this option. Consult support service for further information.
Size
Large, Big, Medium and Small options are listed. Selecting one of these will shrink or fit the date time box into its container.
Place Holder
Any text in this area will be written as faded in the date time box when it is empty.
Hints The text entered in this area pops up when you hover the field.
Rules
Required for Group
Enter any name into this area to specify a validation group for the related control. After that, when you enter this same validation group name into a Validation Group area on any action button of any task, it will be checked for validation whenever the action is selected on the form.
Format
Defines the way how the control will display the date and time. It can be displayed as only a date, only a time or both.
Dynamic Rules
The dynamic rules section allows specifying format and warning messages of any element and section. It consists of two parts, one of them is for formatting rules, and the other one is for validation rules.
Data
Bound XPath
Changes XPath of the date time box.
