What is emakin and how does it work?

Emakin is designed to manage your business processes and a complete business process management solution that is provide a dynamic, easy-to-use environment for all type of processes. What is a process?

Put simply, a process is a way of doing your work. It's a structured way of organizing activities or tasks that produce a specific service or product.

For example: When your computer is malfunctioning you may call a technical guy on the phone and wait for him to come over, or you may start emakin's Incident Request process that is automatically assigned to the relevant technical person and instantly traces the current status of your request.

Using a clearly-defined process flow saves you from chaos while doing your work. All of your daily business activities can ultimately be defined as a process .

Starting to use emakin cloud

The first step is to register your domain. Domains are registered free of charge and for an unlimited period of time. Depending on your business needs, you can then install pre-builded apps from emakin market store to manage various processes or you can design your own process if needed.

Because most business processes need organizational data, after you have registered, emakin automatically starts a new "Organization Designer" process and assigns a task to you related to your organizational structure. This task is optional, so you can open it and build your organization hierarchy straight away, or skip it for now and define it later.

All processes work just like an email client;

When you start a process, emakin assigns next tasks to people in your organization. When they complete the task, the process moves to the next step if required. Logging In to the System

  1. Access the Login Page: Open the web address provided by your organisation.

  2. Enter Your Credentials: Input your username and password in the respective fields.

  3. Hit 'Log In': Press the login button to access your dashboard.

Accessing to Worklist

Once you're logged in, accessing tasks assigned to you is straightforward:

  1. Navigate to the Worklist: From the Navigation Panel on the left, click on 'Worklist.'

  2. View Your Tasks: Tasks assigned directly to you, your role, or your group will be listed here.

Shortcut: Use the search function within the Worklist to quickly find specific tasks.

Initiating a New Process

Starting a new process is a key function in Emakin:

  1. Go to the Folders: In the Navigation Panel, select 'Folders.'

  2. Choose the Relevant Folder: Find the folder related to the process you want to initiate.

  3. Initiate the Process: In the workspace, you'll find buttons for initiating tasks of each process. Simply click on the relevant button and fill out the necessary information to get started.

Remember: The process options available to you will depend on your permissions and role within the organisation.

Setting Delegation

To make sure your work is covered while you're away:

  1. Access Calendar: Find and click on the 'Calendar' button in the Navigation Panel.

  2. Select 'Dates': Pick the dates during which you will be absent.

  3. Choose 'Delegate': Select a colleague to delegate your tasks to and set the period of delegation.
