This guide will walk you through all of Emakin’s features designed for end-users, the people that rely on Emakin every day to accomplish their business activities. You will learn what makes Emakin a pleasant, unique, integrated, dynamic, and easy-to-use work environment.

We will use a simple, but realistic scenario that depicts a fictional enterprise, a couple business processes, and a few common user roles. You will witness as these characters collaborate and perform their tasks using Emakin. Terms and concepts will be introduced gradually as we progress.

It’s important to remember that Emakin is a flexible and highly configurable platform. Assume that every aspect of Emakin is configurable in some way. We will show you just one possible configuration. Please discuss with your Emakin administrator whenever you believe some change would be beneficial to your productivity or business improvement and success.

Languages

Emakin supports full interface localisation, including proper handling of right-to-left (RTL) languages.

The Emakin system provides a handful of languages out of the box, namely:

  • English (United Kingdom)

  • English (United States)

  • Hebrew (Israel)

  • Spanish (Argentina)

  • Turkish (Türkiye)

Business processes and related user interfaces, custom designed for an enterprise, can be displayed in any language. Emakin includes a semi-automated and AI-powered translation system.

Web browsers

Emakin user interface is intuitive and web-based, supported in a diverse combination of modern web browsers, major operating systems, and devices, summarized in the below table. Consequently, it doesn’t require the installation of browser plug-ins, nor additional software or device configuration, being readily available anywhere.

User Interface Layout

1 - Top bar

The top bar permanently displays the logged-in user, a notifications button, and a help shortcut pointing to Emakin’s online documentation. The remaining space is reserved for dynamically displaying context-sensitive controls, dependent on the content of the workspace.

2 - Sidebar

The sidebar is essentially a navigation menu, ensuring easy access to Emakin’s all major functionalities. On occasion, the sidebar is collapsed automatically to maximize the workspace area and focus the user’s attention on the task he/she’s working on. These include the Home Page, Worklist, Channels, Direct Messages, Calendar, Folders, Administration, and the Market.

3 - Workspace

The workspace is the most important area. Its content is highly dynamic, constantly adjusting to whatever work the user is performing.

The user interface is generally divided into three main sections.
